Huia Hamon

Huia is an ambient world music artist with her music being described as ‘urban gypsy folk music’. Her bilingual Maori music is filled with layers of electric resonance, organic bare-foot percussion, moonlit bonfire nights, dark rain, and a touch of folky goodness.
For the Soul Centre performance she will be performing some bilingual original songs, simply with guitar and voice.
From performing an intimate candle-lit solo gig or on stage jamming with the ‘soul brother’ band, Huia has an easy gentle sound reminiscent to Sade, Erykah Badu and 70’s retro vibes of Pink Floyd, Bread and Phoebe Snow.
