Rosa Opie

Rosa is a 10 year old student from Huntsbury, Christchurch. She attends St Martins School and loves reading, playing the piano, swimming, netball, rainbow bands, and poetry.
Rosa attended an extension poetry class at school and was encouraged to write a poem based on Maya Angelou’s “Still I Rise”. The poem submitted is what Rosa was inspired to write. Sadly Maya Angelo passed away the week following, RIP great lady.
